Bake-At-Home
Chicago Deep Dish Pizza

Thick N’ Juicy par-baked pizza pies are crafted to hang out in your freezer and come to life in your oven — slow-baked by you, filling your space with that unmistakable, intoxicating aroma. Each pie is stacked with a half pound of Provolone, Swiss, Mild White Cheddar, plus aged Parmigiano Reggiano, all finished with our signature slow-simmered sauce made from whole tomatoes. We generously layer toppings beneath the sauce for that authentic deep-dish bake, all nestled on our thick, flaky, chewy crust.

Preparation Instructions:

DO NOT THAW

Your perfect bake awaits — let’s dial it in.

1. Preheat

  • Place a baking sheet on the center rack of your oven and preheat to 450°F. If using a pizza stone, keep in mind that it retains more heat than a baking sheet and will cook the pizza faster / hotter.

2. Prep

  • Once your oven is fully preheated, remove the pizza from the freezer and take off the plastic wrap. Keep the pizza in its aluminum tin, with the edges folded up to cradle the crust, and simply place the tin directly onto your preheated baking sheet (or pizza stone).

3. Bake

  • Bake for 60 minutes. Rotating the pizza 180° halfway through the bake for even cooking is always a good idea, but not a must for many ovens.

4. Rest

  • Remove the pizza from the oven and let it rest at room temperature for 10–15 minutes. Carefully remove from the tin, slice, serve, and enjoy.

Chicago deep dish is a unique pizza that’s all about layers and that signature sauce-on-top finish. It’s not about a heavy crust, it’s about the depth and structure of the dough. With the sauce on top, a pocket is formed allowing for a long bake. The bottom should have a light crispness, while the tall edges stay firm yet tender. Inside, the cheese and toppings melt together beneath a thick, slow-simmered sauce that keeps everything from drying out or burning.

The beauty of baking it at home is that you control your bake. Whether you prefer your crust on the softer side, extra crispy, or somewhere in between, you can adjust the temperature, rack position, and bake time to get it exactly where you want it. Beyond the conventional oven, other appliances such as pizza ovens, air fryers, toaster ovens, and even smokers can achieve excellent results, each bringing its own character to the bake.

Enjoy your TNJP and the moments shared around it.

Gratefully yours,

Thick N' Juicy Pizza
